{sneak peek – Kyle}

Published by Jan under senior

Kyle is a Kaneland senior who loves motorcross.  Mind you I know NOTHING about motorcross.  I’m sure he thought I was such a dork when all I said was hmmm I like the color of the bike!  lol.  The session was a lot of fun though and of course I had to get some action shots!  When I asked him if he liked speed or jumps better he just smiled and said “both”.  His only injury on the bike has been 2 broken collarbones but it was so bad the 2nd time that he had to get it surgically repaired :( .  The session was held at a friend’s property in rural Aurora.  The trees, outbuildings & fields made for a gorgeous background!  Kyle was such an easygoing young man with a genuine smile – definitely made my job easy!  Hope you like your sneak peek Kyle!

{sneak peek – Adam}

Published by Jan under senior

Adam’s session was fun even if he was NOT looking forward to it.  I think he told me beforehand that he would rather go to the dentist than get his picture taken.  However, by the end of the session he was suggesting poses and definitely acting like he might have even been enjoying it a little bit (or it could have been the promise of dinner out by his mom!).  Adam loves hockey so we had a lot of fun with all his equipment – stick, helmet, jersey, letterman jacket – and shots taken with them.  We started the session at Waterford subdivision clubhouse in Elgin and finished the session at his home with all his hockey gear.  Hope you like your pictures Adam and hope they captured some of your personality!

And the world can always use more

Good luck this year in hockey and enjoy your senior year!  Your full gallery will be online soon!

{sneak peek – Jack}

Published by Jan under senior

Jack’s session was held on a cousin’s farmette in Hampshire. We had a glorious fall Saturday morning and a great location for exploring and taking pictures. Jack is an avid golfer and a 4-year golf team member so we incorporated his clubs & golf balls into the shoot. Jack is an easy-going, fun senior that was willing to pose where-ever I wanted. I think I am still getting weeds out of my clothes from our trek into the wild pasture field! Hope you like your sneak preview Jack – your full session will be online soon!

I always like it when I can talk the proud mom into at least one picture!

{sneak peek – Ryan}

Published by Jan under senior

Ryan’s session had to be done in 2.  The weather just wouldn’t cooperate with us.  His 1st session got rained out so we rescheduled.  The 2nd session we moved the time up because the day of the session they were calling for rain later in the day.  We started the session and it started pouring.  At least we got all the soccer pictures done in that sitting.  Then the last time we went to Lord’s Park in Elgin on a day off of school and had gorgeous weather.  The park was beautiful with the fall colors just starting.  In the 1st picture the orange & yellow background is just the beautiful color of a tree in all its autumn glory!  Hope you enjoy your sneak peek Ryan!  Your full gallery will be up in a day or so!

{sneak peek – Kelsey}

Published by Jan under senior

Kelsey’s session was held at Muirhead Bed & Breakfast and Runde’s Landscapping. We had gorgeous weather but the mosquitoes were unreal!!!! We had to spray ourselves down with repellent twice and we still got eaten alive. Hope you have recovered from all your bites Kelsey!!  Kelsey has the most amazing blue eyes and I loved that she picked a sweater that really accentuated the blue in her eyes. Hope you like your portraits Kelsey – your full session will be online soon!

{sneak peek – Josh & Logan}

Published by Jan under senior

I had the opportunity to photograph twins Josh & Logan for their senior pictures. The session was held on their farm. We had a lot of fun hiking all over and finding neat areas to photograph. I’m sure their parents will look at these pictures and ask “where was that one taken???” It was a lot of fun and both boys were making sure I got natural smiles out of the other one – I have no idea what was happening behind my back as I was taking the picture! Hope you enjoy them!

And then a fun-processed one of Logan – had to say NO SMILING in this one (harder than you think to get a serious face out of Logan!)

{sneak peek – Brad}

Published by Jan under senior

This was the 1st time I was able to photograph a professional paintballer! He is a member of the Chicago Aftershocks. How cool is that??? His mom was quick to point out that he doesn’t actually get paid – but that his airfare, accomodations & supplies are all paid for the tournaments that he enters. He has been all over the county – FL, CA, CO, the east coast for tournaments. Brad hopes to attend ISU next year so he can continue with the Aftershocks. Here is a sneak peek of your photos Brad. We didn’t just do paintball pictures – he is also a forward on Lake Zurich soccer team, did pictures with his girlfriend, on the family boat in Lake Zurich, and also pictures with his siblings.  Hope you like these picutes Brad – the full gallery will be online in a day or two. Thanks for a fun session!

{sneak peek – Monica}

Published by Jan under Uncategorized,senior

Monica’s session was a busy one – we had 3 locations – her backyard, Runde’s landscaping, and Muirhead’s bed and breakfast – and many outfit changes. Monica is very musically inclined as she sings in the choral and is a drum major in the marching band – so we incorporated her choral dress and drum major outfit into the shoot. We almost got eaten alive by the mosquitoes and just missed a downpour going to the 2nd location but the session was great! Hope you like your sneak peek Monica, your full session will be online in a day or two.

{Paco}

Published by Jan under senior

Two blog entries in one day – a new first for me but I am so far behind! Paco’s session started in his back yard and then ended up at the high school football field. We had perfect weather and Paco was a real trooper changing clothes, putting on hats, helmets, playing guitar, football and generally just cracking up at the funny antics his mom was doing!!! Paco’s post high school plans include college where he wants to major in psychology with an emphasis on sports. But before that he has a busy year ahead with being the captain of the football team, basketball season, and track season where he pole vaults! Best of luck Paco!!

And the last one of the session – the sky looked so cool that he wanted to climb to the top of the bleachers to take this one!

{Kelsey}

Published by Jan under senior

I have neglected my blog lately… This is not a sneak preview but I still wanted to share this session. Kelsey is a beautiful girl – inside and out. She decided to have the session at Rocket Park in St. Charles because as a child she went to the park a lot because it is close to her grandparents house AND because now she is a BC Rocket color guard. It was a lot of fun with Kelsey on the swings, slides, and even climbed to the top of the rocket climber! I LOVE your glasses Kelsey and the bright colors in the pictures are sooo fun! Hope you like them!
