Courtney

Published by Jan under senior

I have been sooo busy I haven’t had time to keep up with my sneak peeks on my blog. Courtney’s gallery is already online but I wanted to share some here also. Courtney’s day of her session was one that she will remember for a long time – it was on Nov. 4th – Election Day. She was able to vote in her first presidential election, have her senior portraits taken, and go downtown to Grant Park for the Obama acceptance rally!!! What a historic day!

Courtney’s session was held at Sun City in Huntley where her grandparents live. They came along to the session to offer Courtney moral support – as if this gorgeous girl needed any support. She is as beautiful inside as she is outside. She is planning on going to college to study pre-med. She want to become an oncologist. She is definitely beauty and brains! Here are some of my favorites.

The burning bush was at it’s finest glory!

{sneak peek – Mike}

Published by Jan under senior

We had a gorgeous fall day for a photo session (after rescheduling from the week before where we had 30 degree temps and 50 mile/hour winds!!!).  Mike’s session was at Burnidge Forest Preserve where the fall colors were gorgeous!  Mike could be a model with his serious face and I loved his choice of clothes – he wore the hat and sweater to homecoming (with a tie) – he had to be the most dapper guy!  Good luck with basketball this winter and enjoy the rest of your senior year Mike!

And although I got a lot of forced smiles from Mike – I did manage to get some genuine ones also!

{sneak peek – Mark}

Published by Jan under senior

Mark’s session started at the high school and then moved to Muirhead’s Bed and Breakfast.  We were hoping to be able to get into the high school gym but the school was locked up Saturday morning.  But we were still able to use the blue baseball dugout walls as great backgrounds for showcasing Mark and his letterman jacket.  We then went to the farm for their fabulous barns, sheds, bins, railroad tracks, trees and anything else I could find to pose Mark by!  He was a great sport and willing posed any way I asked.  He is planning on attending Illinois State University next year in the business school.  But he has a busy senior year to go yet with basketball starting Monday.  Best of luck Mark!

I love the background on this pictures – from the bounty of the Illinois farmland a cornfield in all it beauty (and who says cornfield are not beautiful???)

{sneak peek – Becca}

Published by Jan under senior

Becca’s session was held at Burnidge Forest Preserve off Coombs Road, west of Elgin. It is a horse-friendly preserve where horseback riding is allowed on all trails. Becca brought both of her horses to the session Oakley and Copper. Oakley is her eventing show horse and is HUGE – he stands 18.3. Copper is her first horse and is a more manageable 15.2. They both were so well-behaved and fun to photograph. Becca is hoping to one day become a large animal vet. She is hoping to do her undergraduate work at U of I or possibly Colorado State where she will have to major in biology because although universities have pre-med majors they don’t have pre-vet majors (I didn’t know that!). Good luck Becca with all your showing and future endevours and I hope you like your sneak peek!

(sneak peek – Bessie}

Published by Jan under senior

This is the 2nd session I have had with this family. I had the pleasure of photographing Bessie older sister Julia last year for her senior pictures. So when her mom called to schedule Bessie’s senior session I was excited because I knew how much fun I had last year at the session. They have an awesome yard with all these unique areas that make the session so much fun! We had a gorgeous Illinois autumn day – with all the trees and bushes in full splendor. Bessie has GORGEOUS red hair and her outfit choices complemented the fall colors to perfection! Plus they have the cutest little dog Felix, who I would love to kid(dog)nap! Bessie is planning on attending Northwestern next year to study Theater. Best of luck Bessie!
