{Paco – Pole Vault}

Published by Jan under senior

This was a mini-session for Paco. He had his full session in the fall where we used his football gear in a lot of the pictures. But he is a state-qualifying pole vaulter and he wanted some action shots. So I did a mini-session during a practice. It was a lot of fun to be able to capture him in action doing what he loves. He has put in many, many hours of hard work and practice and it is all coming to fruition this weekend at the state track meet. Best of luck today Paco and good luck next year where he will be running track at North Central College in Naperville, IL!

{sneak peek – Bill}

Published by Jan under senior

Bill’s session started at the varsity baseball fields.  Bill is a pitcher and has been playing baseball since he was old enough to walk!  We then went to Muirhead Bed & Breakfast farmhouse for the rest of the session.   We had fun with all the different buildings, pond, and even the old rusty truck.  Bill is a math wiz and is planning on studying it in college.  He even had his AP calculus test the next day and he thought it would be “no problem”.  Best of luck Bill!

{sneak peek – Kristina}

Published by Jan under senior

Kristina’s session was held at Lord’s Park in Elgin. The park was practically deserted that day so it was like a private session. We had nice weather but it was windy. Kristina was constantly trying to keep her hair in place! Kristina has a genuine, easy smile and she was smiling in just about every picture! The wildlife was abundant that day with the geese (and babies!), ducks and even the deer interested in our shoot.

We even managed to use my new umbrella prop!

Kristina is planning on attending Elgin Community College and wants to get into the health care field. Hope you like your sneak peek Kristina! Your full session will be online in a day or two!

{sneak peek – Kayla}

Published by Jan under senior

Kayla is a softball player. A very good softball player. In fact she is going to play Division 1 softball at University of Texas, El Paso. She has played varsity softball for 3 years with the team winning the BNE conference title all 3 years. She just got her 200th career hit (18th on IHSA hit list!) to go along with her 150 stolen bases (13th in STATE history!). At over 6 feet tall, I’m sure many opposing pitchers find her intimidating!

But then she laughs and smiles – what a gorgeous smile!

The rest of her session was held at Sun City in Huntley where she was anything but intimidating. We had fun just wandering the gorgeous grounds snapping pictures.

Enjoy graduation and best of luck in the playoffs Kayla!

{sneak peek – Ryan}

Published by Jan under senior

We had a wonderful spring day for Ryan’s session.  It was held on his uncle’s property in Maple Park.  He had gorgeous grounds with a pond, barn, lots of trees and vegetation and even a cool rusted out garbage can!  Ryan is a gymnast who has qualified for the IHSA state meet even though his high school doesn’t have a gymnastic team!  That shows his dedication and determination to the sport.  He practices in Streamwood year round 6 days a week.  His specialty is the high bar even though he qualified for all-around.  He is planning on attend Elgin Community College in the fall so he can compete 1 more year with his club gymnastic team and then hope to go to UIC and compete with their team.  He is also an avid trumpet player and has played in the high school band and many other theater performances.  He even missed his senior prom so he could play in a theater performance in Elgin.

A picture in his sectional qualifying shirt

Best of luck at State Ryan!

{sneak peek – Amy Lynn}

Published by Jan under senior

 Amy Lynn’s session was held at Muirhead Farm Bed and Breakfast. It was a gorgeous day even if the weatherman was calling for rain! I love springtime for the flowing trees, and the vibrant color of the flowers and grass. Amy Lynn has the most gorgeous blue eyes! Amy is planning on attending Judson university in the fall to study psychology.

Yes, this is a tree.  Yes, Amy Lynn climbed it IN A SKIRT!!!  and wanted to go higher!!!  Doesn’t she look cute??

Thanks for a fun, laughter-filled session Amy!  Your full gallery will be online in a day or two!

{sneak peek – Dan}

Published by Jan under senior

Dan session was held at an abandoned farm west of Elburn.  There area is soo cool looking with the rusty metal, the broken down barn, the overgrown grassy weeds and even a rusty roll of fencing.  His mom came along also and had as much fun as I did exploring the place.  She even found a rusted out basketball hoop and since Dan was a center/forward of the varsity basketball team we just had to utilize it for pictures!  Hope you enjoy your pictures Dan – it was a very fun session!

The basketball shot

And this image just screamed funky, vintage to me – so I had fun playing with it.  Might not be everyone’s cup of tea but I think it is cool!

{sneak peek – Rina}

Published by Jan under senior

Rina is a natural in front of the camera. She is a great poser and is very much at ease. Her pictures show that I think!
Her session was at Sun City in Huntley. It was a nice spring day, but windy. She has gorgeous, dark hair that had the natural, wind-blown look going. She had great outfits to choose from with vibrant colors and classic white also.

I love her serious look!

Processed this one with a summery-airy look.  Love the fresh look!

She is going to U of I in Champaign to study opthamology. Best of luck Rina!
