Matt ’11

Published by Jan under senior

Class of 2011.  Wow, that seems so strange to type but its that time of year already!

Matt is my 1st senior from the class of 2011.  We had a fun session in his rural Elgin backyard.  They have gorgeous property with a stream in the back yard and huge trees all around.  But….the mosquitoes were ferocious!  I think that is what Matt will remember most about his senior session was getting eaten alive by all the mosquitoes even though his dad had the fogger going, and we resprayed ourselves 3 time with repellent!

In an effort to get to know my seniors better this year and share some of this information with you, I am having my seniors fill out a questionnaire before our session.  Here are Matt’s responses:

3 things people would be surprised to lear about you:

had a kidney transplant

I want to be a journalist

my last name is royalty

3 things you couldn’t live without:

video games

pizza

milk

3 pet peeves:

my brother

video games left out

freshmen

3 foods for a year, what would they be?

chicken pockets

pizza

hot dogs

If you won the lottery, what would you buy first?

Chicago Bulls

If I had 24 hours to live, I would…

go skydiving

Fav class or teacher in HS. Why?

Creative writing because of the freedom

What are your after graduation plans?

go to U of I for broadcast journalism

Would you rather:

X always lose

  never play

Would you rather:

X get caught singing in the car

get caught with your fly unzipped

Would you rather:

be able to read every one’s mind

X always know the future

Here are a few of my favorites from Matt’s session.  Best of luck in your senior year!

Mark ’10

Published by Jan under senior

My last senior of 2010 (I think!) I’m very late in posting Mark’s session (sorry!) but I have to get this posted so I can start posting my 2011 seniors!

Mark is from a repeat family. His brother, Bill, was a 2009 graduate and I did his senior pictures also. Can’t wait to do their youngest sister’s pictures in another year!

Mark’s session was a lot of fun and we had good weather but the mosquitoes were out in force! Mark brought his dog Phoenix to the session. Although she is VERY intimidating looking she was an absolute sweetheart! She was very attentive and was so cute in all her pictures. He also brought the family car – a “rocket blue” Camero! What a fun session!

Matt’s session was held at Mount Saint Mary Park in St. Charles. It was held after graduation so he had his cap and gown that we were able to use for his portraits. Matt will be studying Engineering at University of Minnesota in the fall. Best of luck Matt!

Kelsey ’10

Published by Jan under senior

Kelsey was one of the most laid-back, easy-going seniors that I have ever done! She was all smiles and laughs – even when we were trying for the serious look (but we were able to get a couple serious faces before she burst out laughing!!!)
Kelsey session was at Sun City in Huntley with the gorgeous grounds, flowers, waterfalls and rock walls. Thanks you Kelsey for such a fun session – you are a beautiful young lady!

With her gorgeous red hair and easy smile, Ashley’s session was a fun one! We went to Pottawatomie Park in St. Charles for her session. With the natural stone walls, greenery and the Fox River as a backdrop, we had fun just strolling around the park. Here are some of my favorites from the session!

Katrina ’10

Katrina’s is also from a repeat family. I did her sister’s senior pictures 2 years ago. My how time flies!

Katrina’s session was held in downtown St. Charles at a couple of locations. We started at the beautiful mural walls of the Jalapeno Grill Restaurant at Prairie & Rt. 31. We then went to the historic Baker Methodist Church on Rt. 64.  We finished the session at Pottawatomie Park.

Katrina is a gorgeous girl and had a wonderful wardrobe of outfits to use! We had fun mixing and matching accessories with each outfit change.  She will be attending University of Missouri at Colombia so we had to incorporate her black & gold Mizzou shirts in the session – Go Tigers!

Katrina – I can’t pick a favorite!  Good luck at school next fall!

Amy’s session was held at Pottawatomie Park in St. Charles. It was one of the hottest days of the spring but Amy didn’t sweat it. She looked beautiful throughout the shoot (her mom joked – she didn’t sweat she glistened lol) Amy was a football cheerleader and is headed to Europe to sing with the choral at the Vatican! What an awesome trip – have a GREAT time!

My poor neglected blog! I have been sooo busy this spring I have not had a chance to keep up with my blog sneak peeks, but I am going to be posting a bunch of my recent sessions in the next couple days.

This is Mariah. Isn’t she gorgeous??? She is a senior at St. Viator and we had her session in her picture-perfect back yard in Northbrook.

And this is her mom and “Rosie”. Its easy to see where she gets her good looks!

Kylie ’10

Published by Jan under senior

Kylie’s session was held at Sun City in Huntley. The grounds were absolutely beautiful with the tulips in full bloom. We were worried all day about how windy it was but her session was late in the day and the wind died down so we had some very natural wind-blown looks! Kylie is a natural beauty and we had fun just walking the grounds and taking pictures!
Kylie is going to attend University of Iowa next year and study journalism – go Hawkeyes (but not when they play the Illini!!!)
