Micalena ’12 – South Elgin High School

Micalena’s session was a BEAUTIFUL fall day at Mount St. Mary’s Park in St. Charles and included my favorite graffiti walls at Jalapeño Grill. Micalena is a natural in front of the camera, with a great smile and lots of laughter! A little bit about her:

- I’m Egyptian

- I’ve played soccer since I was 4

- I’ve modeled since 5th grade

- my friends

Alec ’12 – Hampshire High School

Now that the holidays and all the busy-ness that goes along with them are over I have a bunch of sessions from the fall to blog! Here is Alec – a hockey player, fan, and overall hockey fanatic! (and no that is NOT a Blackhawk jersey even though he was born and raised in the Chicagoland area much to his fathers chagrin lol!) A little bit about Alec

- played hockey since I was 3

Nathan ’12 Burlington Central

Nathan’s session was held at his aunt & uncle’s home in rural Elgin. It is a beautifully landscaped, with lots of different areas to photograph. Love the variety of plants, rocks, grasses,structures and benches that were available to pose Nathan. His younger sister even stepped in for a few photographs!

3 things people would be surprised to learn about you - energetic - I sleep till 7:30 and still make it to school on time
3 things you couldn’t live without -TV - my car - family

I have NEVER… been to Hawaii

Nick ’12 Burlington Central

Nick is an avid golfer and a member of the Burlington Central Varsity Golf team so it was only natural that his session was held on a golf course! They are members at Elgin Country Club and we received permission to shoot there even though it was closed on the day of his session. But that was perfect because we could fly around on the golf cart to all his favorite holes and not have to worry about getting in anyone’s way. It is a beautifully landscaped golf course and many really fun places to shoot. Some interesting facts about Nick:

3 things people would be surprised to learn about you - I’m not as happy-go-lucky as they think - I over-use sarcasm - I argue a LOT!
3 things you couldn’t live without - good food - golf - my TV shows

I have NEVER… sky-dived
3 pet peeves - bad grammar - un-needed delays - people who “act dumb”

Layne’s and Jensen’s sessions were held together at their cousins home in rural Hampshire. The colors were gorgeous and the girls had a lot of fun together! I LOVED their choices in clothes and they were willing to traipse all over the property for the perfect pictures! A little bit about Layne first:

Kelsey ’12 Burlington Central

Kelsey’s session was held at Runde’s Landscaping on Route 47 in rural Elgin. It was a beautiful day and Kelsey brought a variety of outfits including her PROM dress! I just love photographing gorgeous dresses outside! She looked like a princess. She also brought her dog and her cheer uniform and poms. A very fun session! To get to know Kelsey a little bit:

Shelbi ’12 Burlington Central

Shelbi’s session started at the Japanese Gardens in Fabyan Park in Geneva and ended at her rural Elgin home. We were not able to get into the Japanese Gardens because they were closed for the day but were able to shoot in the area around it. It was a simply gorgeous day and a gorgeous area to shoot at, but it was very popular – there was at least 5 other photographers there and 2 wedding parties! Shelbi has the most beautiful RED, CURLY hair! Seriously jealous!

Jake’s session was held in his beautiful rural Elgin backyard. They have gorgeous, LARGE trees and even a stream that runs through their property. Thank goodness for bug spray because the mosquitoes wanted to carry us off! Here is a little bit about Jake:

3 things people would be surprised to learn about you - I listen to heavy music - my room is clean (right now) - I’ve never tried sushi
3 things you couldn’t live without - phone - iPod - car

Tyler’s session was held at Pottawatomie Park in St. Charles where his brothers session was held 2 years ago (can you tell I LOVE repeat clients!) I think Tyler is as tall and lanky as his brother and his eyes are just as blue. I LOVE that his mom had him wear a turquoise sweater because it really made his eyes sparkle (do guys want sparkle in their eyes – I doubt it but the girls do!!!)
