Drake ’11

Published by Jan under senior

Drake’s session was held at Lord’s Park in Elgin – the same place we did his brother’s session 2 years ago!  Growing up, the family lived close by and the brothers spent a lot of time at the park so it was only natural that their senior sessions were held there.  We only had to re-schedule Drake’s session once due to rain – considering the spring we are having in Elgin that is a good thing!  Here are some of my favorites from the session

And Central doesn’t have a tennis team but if it did Drake would have played on it!

And since he is a 2011 graduate…

Enjoy graduation and best of luck next year!

My 1st Cover!

Published by Jan under senior

I was very excited and honored to be asked to photograph Jeff Nesseth, one of the most well-liked teacher at Burlington Central High School!  He has been the  choral director at the school for 15 years and was selected as the cover story at the national choral directors magazine .  It was a fun hour of photography him in the classroom environment with his class of students.  He has taken his choral groups all over the world including – Ireland, England, Scotland, Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Switzerland & Italy with an audience of the POPE at the Vatican!

He likes to start the class period off with the kids all rising to their feet in a congo-line and giving back massages to relieve built up tension and just over all loosen up and laugh before warm-ups begin.

Here are some of my favorites from my time spent in the classroom.

Loved the mural on the wall that one of the talented students painted!

Congratulations Jeff!  The recognition is well deserved!  As a Burlington Central High parent we are very proud of you!

Brandon

Published by Jan under senior

I’ve fallen behind on my blogging – I have a couple more fall seniors that I will be adding in the next couple of days!

Brandon is a 2010 graduation senior that never got his senior pictures taken.  But he signed up with the Marines and will be leaving for basic training in the spring, so his mom knew this was the time to get them done.  Even though the day of his session was a cold one, they are thrilled with the results!  Brandon is very much into his dirt-bike and competitive racing with it so it was only natural that we incorporated his bike and truck into the session.  Enjoy!

And here is a square collage of some of their favorite images!  Love this printed as an 8×8 and displayed on an easel!
